I’m officially a part of Mellogang!

Hey, guys! As you all know, I absolutely LOVE my pop music. Recently, I’ve been listening to Marshmello. If you guys don’t know him, he’s a American DJ and produces music that is EDM. I have no idea what that is. In fact, I’m listening to his song “Happier” with Bastille. It’s so good! It was actually a hit song last year along with his song “Friends” with Anne-Marie. Warning: it has cuss words in it. I listen to the clean version. I like Marshmello so much now! He’s cute, too! So many people are trying to find out who Mello really is, but honestly, as long as he keeps making wonderful music, I don’t care. Anyways, I have to go. I have to wake up at 7:30 tomorrow. Ugh! *makes a face* Bye!

A Day In The Life Of Me!

Hey, guys! So I’m going to write a post about what I usually every day! Let’s go!

So I usually wake up around 7:00-7:30 A.M. Then I go to my bathroom and splash cold water on my face. That usually helps wake me up. I also put Aveeno lotion on my face, ’cause it helps keep my face smooth and free of acne. Then I head downstairs and drink a cup or two of warm water. Then I go to my desk and start homework. Then around 8:00-8:30, I start eating breakfast. I usually eat corn flakes with soy milk and a fruit smoothie. Sometimes I eat a bagel with vegan butter and avocado. It’s so good! My dad then leaves for work. He goes to work around 9:00-9:30. Then after eating breakfast, I wash the dishes if it’s my turn to do them. Then I go upstairs to brush my teeth and make my bed. Then I go back downstairs to start homework. By then, it’s around 9:00-9:30. Usually I do math first, (’cause it takes longer! And I’m not too smart when it comes to math, especially algebra!) then English, (eh, it’s okay) then science, (my FAVORITE!) and finally, history. (only one word . BORING! Of course, some people find history really interesting and fun. I mean, world history isn’t THAT bad. But U.S. history? Ugh!) After that, I do my IEW homework. IEW, if you guys don’t know, stands for Institute for Excellence in Writing. It helps me write better and improves my speaking skills, too!

Then it’s time for lunch! I usually do lunch by myself. Sometimes, I do vegan quesadillas with tomatoes. I use Daiya cheese. It’s vegan, and made of soy protein! It’s not that I’m lactose-intolerant, but cheese makes break out really badly. And I don’t like acne on my face! Nuh-uh. Sometimes, I eat leftovers. Then I take a break after lunch. By then, it’s 1:30-2:00. After that, I try to practice flute. Then I exercise. And you guys know how much I love Sam Tsui’s music! I usually run for about 45 minutes, and I run on the treadmill. I try to burn about 260-320 calories a day, so that means I usually run 3.5 to 4 miles a day. My record for running a mile in several minutes was running a mile in 8 minutes. Then I workout on the mat for about 20-25 minutes. I workout with Blogilates. Her channel is really awesome! Her ab workouts are torturous, but they make me feel so happy afterwards!

Then I shower. I use Head and Shoulders Anti-Dandruff Shampoo+Conditioner. It’s really good! I shower for about 20 minutes. Yeah, I know, that’s REALLY long. I sing in the shower, soooo…. that’s probably why… Hehehehehe. Then I put Aveeno lotion (again) on my arms, legs, and blah blah blah blah.. You get the point. I put a lot on ’cause I have eczema everywhere, and it’s terrible. Take care of your skin, guys! It’s not fun to have eczema, I tell you. *shakes head* Anyways, then I head downstairs to eat dinner with my sister and mom. (and dad if he got home early!) Then I brush my teeth. We do devotion, and then it’s time to go to bed! I go to bed around 9:00-9;30-ish. It’s early for some people, but anytime past 9:00 is really late for me! Then I put castor oil on my eyelashes and eyebrows. (sounds weird, but it helps them grow! It really does!) Then I put Aveeno on my face again. (yep, again!) I’m really picky about my face skincare routine. It’s not that complicated, really, compared to other people’s skincare routine. Then it’s nighty-night-night for me! Speaking of which, I’m supposed to be in bed in 10 minutes! Yikes! I have to go and love ya’ll! Bye!!

Some Species of Animals That Are Endangered

Hey, guys! So I had zero idea of write today. So, you guys knowing my passion of animals, I just had to write somethin’ about animals. Here we gooo! Of course, I am not going to talk about all of the endangered species, ’cause there are too many.

  1. Pangolins

Pangolins are extremely endangered, especially in Asia. Pangolins are being killed for their scales, skin, and meat. It breaks and shatters my heart immensely to see such beautiful and cute creatures being killed. I feel really guilty, because it’s mostly China that is part of the black market. And I’m from Taiwan, which is right next to China. Scientists have estimated that since from 2000 poachers have taken more than a million pangolins from the wild. It’s terrible! Why would anybody take such a beautiful and adorable creature? I just doesn’t understand!!!! I’m crying now. I have to take a minute.

2. Tigers

Tigers are being killed for their skin. And not only that, their habitat is being destroyed. It is shown by scientists that out of the eight subspecies of tiger, there are only six subspecies. The most endangered tiger is the Sumatran tiger. It is estimated that there is only 400-500 Sumatran tigers left in the wild.

3. Sea turtles

Sea turtles are being killed for their meat, but are mainly killed by being caught in fishing nets or being struck by boats. Also, I read in a book that in Costa Rica, when the females come to lay eggs on the sandy beach, the fishermen come and steal the eggs from the hole, and eat them! I am so mad. MAD, I TELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *coughs* Sorry, I sometimes lose my self-control when it comes to defending animals. It’s not good, I know. It’s just so…… *sighs* sad. Sad, indeed.

OK, guys, that’s it for today! My sister and mom are coming back from Tawian tonight! I can’t wait! Love ya’ll and keep on protecting our lovely animals that live on this planet! Bye!

A Deep, Dark, Cold Ocean……. How Could There Be Possibly Any Life Down There????? (Keep reading, readers! You’ll find out!)

Hey, guys! You guys saw the post title, and I am pretty sure most of ya’ll know, already. But if some of you don’t know, keep reading!!

Most of us think that in the deep, dark, cold ocean, there couldn’t be any life living down there! Actually, quite surprisingly, there is life down there! “How?” you exclaim. “We all know that living things need sunlight!” True, but keep reading! Come with me, and dive down into the mysterious ocean’s depths!

First of all, we must find a producer, because all of the living things on this planet are supported by producers. Let us meet our good old friend, shall we? Allow me to introduce you to him: the good old hydrothermal vent! Hydrothermal vents spew out super-heated water, that came from the heated magma under the Earth’s crust. There is bacteria and minerals in the super-heated water. And the bacteria is the producer we are looking for!

One of the creatures living near the hydrothermal vents is the tube worm. It doesn’t have a stomach or a mouth, but attaches itself onto the ocean floor. “But then how does it eat?” you ask. “It can’t survive if it can’t eat!” True, that’s exactly what I thought! But it has bacteria living inside it! The bacteria produce sugar and other nutrients Sounds totally weird and sooooooo gross, I know, but that’s how they survive in extreme conditions!

Other really cool creatures are the bioluminescence fish and other creatures! “Wait! Hold it!” you yell. “What is biolumines- whatever the word was??” Well, let me break it down for ya. Bioluminescence is kinda like a glowstick. You crack the glowstick and the chemicals mix to create a glow! “Ohhhh,” you realize. “So there is chemicals inside the creature, mixing to create a special glow?” Yes, and scientists have noticed the light is mostly blue. The creatures have not seen light, so the light is mostly blue. So even if the environment is harsh, the creatures have adapted to it! I mean, look at Antarctica! It’s so cold over there, and yet penguins and other creatures live over there! It’s amazing on how God designed these wonderful creatures! The Earth is amazing and we should protect it and its inhabitants because it is our duty to protect the amazing animals that live on it!

OK, guys. that’ll be it for this post! My sister and mom are coming back from Taiwan soon, so I’m really excited! I actually came across this source from my state test today! I had to write an essay for it on the state test, so I did and decided to do the same for my post today! I have a math state test tomorrow, so I am really nervous. *shudders* I’m really sad they don’t have science tests this year! I have to go now, guys! Love ya’ll so much! Bye!

I’m Back, America!

Hey, guys! I’m back in America right now, and I’m so happy! Back in Taiwan, it was really crowded and noisy! But here at my house, when you wake up in the morning, it’s very quiet and you can hear the birds chirping! Plus, there’s no mosquitoes. 😉 I’m still quite a bit jet lagged, but it’s slowly getting better. And guess what? I only gained a few pounds! Woohoo!
