Ramen Noodle Soup!!!

Hey guys! So today I will be posting a recipe which is super yummy and healthy! I love it, because I am an Asian! OK,let’s start cooking!!

  •   2 packs of ramen noodles (you can get them from an Asian market)
  •   A basket of freshly washed spinach
  •   A bowl of chopped carrots, sliced diagonally
  •   A teaspoon of salt
  •   1 egg
  •    1 tablespoon of avocado oil (You can use any kind of oil if you’d like)
  •   Season packet and sesame oil packet (it is found inside the pack of ramen noodles)
  •   3 cups of water (depends on how much soup you want to have)

All right, let’s start by setting the pot on the stove. Turn the heat to medium-high, then pour the water in. Let it come to a boil, then carefully drop the ramen noodles. Careful! Don’t drop it in, or else you will get splashed by hot water! (I’ve done that before!)

Next, take some chopsticks or a fork and gently pry the ramen noodles apart. You will probably want to let them sit for a little bit before prying them apart. Turn the heat to medium. Then tear off the season packet top and pour the contents in. I like to put only half of it in, but you may put all of it in if you wish. Next, take the sesame oil packet and pour all of its contents in.

Then, take your spinach and gently place them in the pot. Spinach helps your heart and gives you lots of fiber! Take your carrots and place them in. Carrots will help you see better and gives you fiber! Dump your salt in and watch it dissolve! So cool! Let the bubbling mixture sit for about 5 minutes, occasionally stirring it.

While you’re waiting for your noodles, it’s time to make your egg! Grab a small non-stick pan and turn the heat to medium. Then add your tablespoon of oil and make sure it coats the whole pan. Crack your egg and let it cook for about 3 minutes. Then flip it over and cook for another 3 minutes.

Now go to the noodles. It should be done by then. Turn off the heat and move it to another part of the stove where it can cool down. Let it sit for about 2 minutes, and then pour the noodle soup in a bowl and place the egg on top. Enjoy!

*munching on my ramen* Oh, hey! Didn’t see you there! *laughs* Hope you guys enjoyed that! I sure did! Anyways, good to be back! As you heard from my previous post, I just got back from a camping trip! It was awesome! We hiked a lot! We made a blind, practiced archery with a PVC pipe bow, and ate awesome food! Well, have to sign off for now. Bye!

Could It Be? Part 3

“Are you ready, darling?”Alfred stood by the door, waiting for his wife and children.

“Yes, dear,”she sighed. “Alfred, do I have to go?”

“Yes,dear. It is a very nice church. You’ll like it there,”he assured her. “Plus, they have a lot of kids, so the kids will have a chance to play and chat with them.”

“Nikita! Sunda! Ferda! Let’s go!”Ankara called. Two girls and a boy came running, and they set off in the direction of the church.

They walked in silence for about 10 minutes, then they arrived at the church. Already they could hear the singing inside the church. They slipped into the back pew, for the service had already started. Robert had noticed Alfred, and greeted them when they walked in.

When the service ended, Robert said hello to Alfred’s family and introduced himself.

“You are Ankara?”Robert asked politely, shaking her hand. “Welcome! Please stay for lunch!”

“Thank you, Robert. We appreciate your kindness,”Ankara answered. “The children enjoyed the Sabbath School very much!”

They walked to the fellowship hall and got their food.

“Mmmmmm,Mama! This is so good!”Nikita exclaimed. “I love this food!”

Sunda nodded, her mouth too full to speak. She swallowed. “It’s a big contrast to what we eat,Mama. Why don’t you cook like them?”

Ankara hesitated. “Well, I don’t know.”

The family finished eating, and stood up to leave.

“You’re leaving?”Robert asked when the family came by his table to say good-bye. “Thanks for coming! Hope you come back next Sabbath!”

“Thank you, Robert! Good bye!”the family waved and headed home.

“Well, my dear. How’d you like it?”Alfred smiled at Ankara as they neared home.

“I was touched by their kindness and sincerity,”she answered. “I actually really enjoyed it!”

They went inside the house and they sat in the living room while the children played kancha.

Could It Be? Part 2

He returned to his house, his mind whirling. He had just discovered something, something that could just save him from this emptiness inside him.

He entered his house, and his wife greeted him.

“Where have you been?”his wife, Ankara questioned sharply. “You’ve missed lunch with us! We had chicken, rice, and potato curry……”

He waited until she stopped talking. “Ankara, dear, I found a most interesting church-”

“CHURCH?”she demanded loudly. “You know I have nothing to do with religion, Alfred.”Her black eyes flashed with anger.

“I know, dear. But the lunch was amazing! It was delicious! And it had no meat! Yet it was so filling!”Alfred answered enthusiastically. “Could we at least go back there next Saturday?”

“Saturday?”she asked. “Don’t you mean Sunday?”

“Well,no. They are Seventh Day Adventists. That means they worship on Saturday, the Sabbath,”Alfred replied.

Ankara thought for a minute. “Well, I guess I could go with the children. They don’t have any activities next week.”

“OK! Great! We’ll go next week!”Alfred grinned.
