How To Properly Lose Weight!

Hey, guys! Sorry for not posting for some time. I’ve been busy with stuff, you know. Anyways, I wanted to talk about how to lose weight properly. I have lately been seeing ads from weight doctors who give you INJECTIONS to help you lose weight. I wanted to write a post about this because I am struggling with my weight and wanted to help others too. OK, let’s get started!

  1. Diet

Everyone knows it’s bad to eat junk foods such as chips, candy, and other oily foods, and that’s good! Eat a nourishing diet of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and legumes, and your body will look fit, and most importantly, you will be healthy! Now, I know everybody drinks milk to get calcium for your bones. But you know, recently I learned that when you drink milk, sure, you get the calcium, but after a long time, the bones will start to become brittle. And I’m happy to say that you don’t need to drink milk in order to get calcium! Some non-dairy foods rich in calcium are beans, lentils, almonds, dark, leafy greens, and tofu! (This is especially good for me, since I absolutely LOVE TOFU!) If you don’t like the taste or smell of milk, I suggest you try almond milk, soymilk, or any other dairy-free milk. I personally like soymilk, since it kind of reminds of Taiwan, but it’s up to you! Everybody has different tastes. Try to cut down on red meat, as it increases your cholesterol and risk of heart disease, failure, etc. All in all, it’s best to eat vegetarian, or even vegan! I try to not eat a lot of cheese, because the diary causes me to break out. And of course, it’s always best to keep your body healthy!

2. Exercise!

I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE running! My exercise routine is running on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes, and workout my whole body on the mat for 30 minutes. Yup, I love working out. But you won’t lose weight by just exercising! It’s about diet, too! And try not to sit down after you eat, as it builds up lower belly fat. I try to stand or walk around for at least fifteen minutes after a meal. (I learned this from my mom!!!!) 😉 If you exercise a lot, but then eat a lot, too, you won’t lose all the weight you want to lose. Portion size is a big help, too. If you’re sitting down to a meal of burritos, you have to tell yourself, “OK, I’m only going to eat three burritos, and then I’m done.” Or better yet, drink a lot of water 30 minutes before a meal, and that will decrease your appetite! And once you’re done, go to your room or the family room, or anywhere that’s not the kitchen. Once you leave the table, YOU’RE DONE. No more rummaging around in cabinets! (this is what my dad does, hehe) I’ve learned from experience, trust me. It doesn’t work to just workout a lot and don’t change your diet!
